finished!

Yesterday we gave our presentations and I am now completely finished with this class. I liked the class and making the games, but I am glad it is all over because now I am finished with high-school! Although I was nervous about getting up in front of the class and the guy from Globoria, my presentation went great. But that was probably just because he was sick an unable to make it to our school. lol But this is my final blog, so I am saying goodbye to Globoria and this class.

Game Progress 4/16.

So...I believe I am making good progress on my game. But I am scared that I will not finish because of the limited time I have left and amount of work I still need to do. But I will try my hardest to finish!

Adding Navigation

Write about this topic? Was it hard? Fun? Both?
Find a video online to embed on your blog dealing with your game topic. Why did you choose this video?

This topic was a little hard, but at the same time it was fun. I like the fact that it made it easier to move my scenes. So I would say that this topic was both hard and fun.

I choose this video, because both of these guys have degrees and are talking about the importance of getting an education.

Write a Blog post about this topic, share your learning experience!
Write about the subject of your game. Is there anything new you've learned about it since you last wrote about it? Has there been an interesting post from a blogger, or article you've found on the topic?

I have learned how to create buttons and do more things in flash. I have not received any interseting posts from bloggers on these topics.

Well since I am working on my game by myself, I got the role of everything. As I create my game, I look forward to seeing if I can come up with creative ideas to put into my game. My games inspiration came from the fact that knowing how important education is to students today, as well as the high amounts of educational topics in the news lately.

Paper Prototyping

Write a Blog post about learning this topic.
What do you like about paper prototyping? What don't you like? Why?

When I watched the video of the paper prototyping, I was nervous about the fact that I had to draw an outline of my game. But now that I have completed it, I realized that it was actually pretty easy. I liked the fact that I was able to video my game without my face being on the camera. However, I do not like the fact that I had to talk on the video, but it wasnt hard.

Imaging Your Game

Share your learning experience of this topic!
What are you most excited about as you start making your game?

I am doing my game on education. I am most excited about the fact that I will actually be making a game. So far from being in school and seeing other students not make the most of these oppurtunities, I have learned that education is the most important thing for children and that is why I am doing a game on education.

Mini Game!

Making the mini game was very fun and I found it very interesting. I liked making every part of the game, but I would have to say the worst part was the fact that I was unable to get my wolf to chase my rabbit left and right :(. Other than that I liked making the mini game and I cant wait to start on my game!
I have very little free time, but when I do have some I usually play the new Super Mario Bros. on WII. It's my favorite because it was my favorite game to play back on the old nintendo and super nintendo systems; and now that it is back I love it. haha

choosing a topic blog

I chose these blogs because they are written about education, and I feel that they will be very helpful with my topic. They will help me to think critically, because they are about different issues that effect various school systems. To me, this blog is better than others because it deals with many different issues.

Games I Played

Write a Blog post about the games you played. What did you like and why? What didn't you like? Link to these games on your blog and express your opinion!

The games I played that I liked best were Medical Mysteries and Stop Disasters. These games were fun, interesting, and helpful with learning. I liked how these games gave vivid examples and instructions of how to play.
I didn't like the games Free Rice and What Would You Do, because they didn't offer enough game playing.
